Hygee ( hoo-gah)

$250.00

A special stop on my recent European adventure.
With close friends living in Copenhagen and a best friend who is Danish and travels back often - I had quite the local experience.
The city was hustling but quiet— as if it was built for living instead of life building it. You get the pastry and eat the whole thing, no guilt. You ride your bike to work, no rush.
Time, is what you have not what you need. Hygee, a versatile noun, verb, or adjective from what l've understood ( + my short perspective) does not directly translate into English, but means "a warmth". A cosy physical-mental atmospheric experience. It was felt. The art, too, was simple but fully satisfying.

...Ironically, Danes burn more candle wax per capita than almost anywhere else?
Anyway. a special mark on my heart from this beautiful place.

20” H x 16” L X 1.5” D | Currently unframed. Frame can be added for $80 - please email / text if interested in framing. Local pick up only for this one to prevent branch damage.
